Ricardo was born on an endangered planet: forests were disappearing, oceans were polluted, there were problems with water and energy, and there were hundreds of species at risk of extinction.

Ricardo really did worry and he tried to set an example… until the day he realised that people around him seemed to live on another planet all together. And so, he gave up: “He didn’t bother to recycle anymore. He began having a bath instead of a shower. He forgot to turn off the lights. He refused to go anywhere on foot or on his bike. He no longer cared if forests were disappearing or if animals were becoming extinct…!”.

But everything changed when he took a walk in the countryside, when he saw a kingfisher in flight…
