Clap clap book

A round of applause for yet another wholly interactive paper project from Planeta Tangerina. (…) The object-book takes on the rhythm and use that the readers give it. While they read and play, making sounds and gestures, the readers, with each passing page, create their own dynamic, full of the imagination and skill of the person reading.

For a number of reasons it’s a brilliant book to read out loud. It’s a book full of movement, full of sound, with lots to look at and lots to imagine, inviting active engagement from the reader, it’s full of fun, humour and creativity.

A hardback cover and rounded pages are useful for younger page turners, while older ones will contemplate the quirky people and animals composed of geometric shapes illustrated in the brightest of primary colors. The blocky designs and text demand interactive listening, encouraging kids to stand up and move.
